Well this is probably more of a poem than a quote but I LOVED it! My daughter's teacher gave it to me on her first day of kindergarten and as I recall, there was a lot of us with kids in kindergarten on the boards so I thought I would share! (and yes, it made me cry)
The First Day
I gave you a little wink and a smile As you entered my room today. For I know how hard it is to leave And know your child must stay. You've been with her for five years now And have been a loving guide, But now, alas, the time has come To leave her at my side. Just know that as you drive away And tears down your cheeks may flow I'll love her as I would my own And help her learn and grow. So please put your mind at ease And cry those tears no more For I will love her and take her in when you leave her at my door.

Made me cry all over again. I am still having a rough time leaving my baby at school.

Awe Jamie this brings back so many memories...I remember dropping off my baby boy (now 13) at his first day of kindergarten and how I sobbed as I left him...although he was fine and so happy to FINALLY be a big boy and go to school. I will have to go thru all off that all over again next year as I send my little princess off to her first day of kindergarten...I am so not looking forward to that. GREAT POEM for all us mom's.

It's isn't easy entrusting your most valuable posession to a total stranger (in most cases). Of course it's natural for us to worry about our little ones. Hugs to all you mommies.
