I did a photo shoot with my friends kids yesterday and I thought I would share a photo of her beautiful daughter here Seriously, I am in love with her eyes...she is such a doll!! This photo was taken outside on a beautiful sunny day. Direct sunlight, however, is not super flattering both because the intense light is often a bit much and it often makes your subjects squinty eyed. So instead, I used "open shade". What this means is that there is no direct sunlight but the light is able to come in all around. We were in an open spot with a few trees all around us. So find a spot with some open shade and get snapping Attachments:

Oh wow, I am in love with those beautiful eyes! I have recently began working with my lighting when taking pictures. For me it was just a learn as you go type thing! I think I finally have it figured out though! Wonderful tip though, I wish I would have known this a long time ago :-) Lol, would have saved SO many pictures!
