Like most of you, I am the family photographer in my home; and I love to take pictures of my children to record and document their lives. Pictures are the heart of scrapbooking right? Unfortunately, my children may wonder where I was during their childhood as I am never in any of the photos...a consequence of being the photographer...well not necessarily! In this digital age, most of us own a digital camera that comes with a self timer and it is probably the most under used feature! So if you are like me and are not in any photos, then this challenge is for you! Here is what you do: - Find somewhere to securely place your camera, if you have a tripod, super, but if not you could use a table, a ladder...etc. - Make sure the focus is aimed at a person in your group and not somewhere in the background - This is a good time to use your flash to ensure even composition of everyone but remember that your flash has a range limit of 10 ft - Press the timer and get in there and smile!! (If you are not sure of where your self-timer button is consult your camera's manual) Here is a photo I recently took of my family using the self-timer! Be sure to post your photos here and then when you scrapbook them upload them in our gallery so we can all admire your work!!
