Hello! I LOVE stamping and I want you to love it too!! I look forward to sharing stamping tips with you and if you have any questions, please ask!! My first tip for you is that when you first purchase a stamp the first thing you need to do before you use it on your project, is to season it! What does that mean? Simple. The stamp that you now own is straight from production, so it may have a film or residue left on it from manufacturing and because of this, it will not be as efficient as it needs to be at picking up the ink. So, to season it, you can stamp it several times on a scrap piece of paper and clean it off, the stamp a few more times until the image is crisp. I have attached a photo of two stamped images of my new stamp. The first "thanks" was stamped straight out of the package. Compare that to the the "thanks" below that was properly seasoned. Big difference hey? Then of course, I had to make a card...didn't want to waste the "thanks" that I stamped ***Another tip is if you are stamping in black and part of the image didn't stamp off well...no worries, just fill it in with a black marker!!!!!
